Diane believes in the individual’s right to be able wherever possible to lead a self – directed and autonomous life. Diane is open and approachable and has a genuine caring and valuing of each person within the boundaries of a professional relationship.

Diane holds the following qualifications:
Post graduate diploma in counselling studies
Diploma in counselling
Diploma in supervision
Advanced certificate in group work
Advanced certificate in dream work
Certificate in education
Level three of a four part diploma in expressive therapy
Current study- gestalt psychotherapy

Diane works with adults and children age 13 plus. Diane has worked with clientele for short term counselling and longer term life changing counselling/ psychotherapy work. Clients have presented to Diane with a wide range of issues including but not exclusive to stress, work stress, bereavement and loss, anxiety, depression, sexual identity, sexual health, abortion, relationship issues, sexual and verbal abuse, and personal /spiritual development.

In addition to her private work Diane has worked for the past nine years within the NHS primary care trust. She receives referrals from the NHS, GP, employers including EAP , colleagues, previous clients as well as self referral. Diane has also counselled young people in the home, in the YMCA, looked after children in social care, in church settings, in hospital and in various voluntary sectors.

Diane has also supervised other qualified and student counsellors. She has nine years of experience of supervising children’s therapists, primary care counsellors, trainees, voluntary and private sector counsellors.
