Herbal Medicine
Healing herbs were found in a grave dating from 60, 0000 years ago. Since then a vast body of empirical knowledge has been added by folk healers, shamans, village healers, nuns and monks who by trial and error, intuition and observation discovered the medical uses of herbs. Without this historic knowledge modern scientific research would have probably ignored research into healing plants that have affinities for specific bodily organs or a general tonic effect that may gently restore imbalances in bodily functions .
A modern medical herbalist uses this vast body of knowledge and scientific research to restore the patient’s metabolism as well as recommending dietary and lifestyle changes. An initial consultation will be taken which will involve an hour of history taking and herbal prescription tailored to the clients needs. A follow up consultation will take place two weeks later. Further consultations will be available at greater intervals, the herbalist is contactable outside clinic hours
