What is holistic and complementary therapy? Complementary therapies compliment conventional health rather than replace it. Aromatherapy, reflexology come under this heading.
Holistic therapy aims to help a person to restore and maintain good health. It can help a great deal for people whose hormones are out of balance because holistic treatments help by correcting imbalances within the body.
Holistic treatments are available to everybody and are very helpful to people seeking stress relief and reduced muscle tension. Treatments can also give an uplifted and revitalised effect if that is what a person desires. Holistic treatments are also available to people seeking a relaxing treatment or who would like to enjoy an hour or more of pampering.
Aromatherapy - Aromatherapy is known to complement conventional medicine by promoting mental and physical health. It is a therapeutic massage using plant oils to re-establish and stimulate the bodies own natural healing process. The aroma therapist will use a blend of essential oils to target the aim to be achieved; whether that is stress relief or to feel uplifted. The healing properties of the oils and massage provide a unique experience for each individual.
Reflexology - This is stimulation using the finger and thumb of the therapist through the reflex areas located on the feet that influence and work the organs and systems in the body. The treatment is known to be useful for migraine, sinus problems and breathing disorders, digestive problems, circulatory problems, sleeping disorders, aches and pains, tension and stress. Clients are left with a sense of relaxation and well- being.In Chinese reflexology the pressure is more intense and the results can be quicker
Indian head massage - An energetic massage that helps to unblock energy that has collected in the face, neck, head and shoulders, it is good for relieving stress/ tension, headaches, migraine, insomnia, fatigue and sinusitis. Indian head massage helps to create a sense of relaxation whilst feeling invigorated.
