At Cheshire therapy centre we aim to provide the best possible care by raising and monitoring standards. Therefore for your safety and assurance all of our therapists have the following checks before working in the centre; qualifications, public liability insurance, criminal record bureau (CRB), membership of an appropriate body where ethical guidelines are followed; such as the BACP or UKCP.
All of our counsellors, hypnotherapist and supervisors are qualified and experienced in their field and as part of ethical practice all have supervision for their work. This is to maintain standards and ensure best practice for client’s protection.
We offer corporate counselling to employee assistance programmes at a competitive cost. Cheshire therapy centre can help to resolve employees personal or work related issues that are affecting their performance at work. The team have worked with stress, anger, addition problems, work relationships, physical and verbal abuse issues, confidence, bereavement and loss and personal relationship issues affecting work. We provide time-limited counselling and open ended counselling as requested.

Title: Caught in a Dilemma: Managing Ethical Dilemmas in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Overview: All counselling and psychotherapy practice involves the careful management of ethical dilemmas, looking at ways of resolving them while minimising harm to the client or therapist. This seminar will provide a brief overview of BACP's revised Ethical Framework and, using a number of typical ethical dilemmas, will help participants reflect on how they integrate ethical thinking into their daily work.
Dr Andrew Reeves is a counsellor and supervisor at the University of Liverpool Counselling Service. He has written extensively on working with suicide risk, and has published two books: Key Issues for Counselling in Action: Second Edition (with Windy Dryden) and Counselling Suicidal Clients, with a third book in preparation. He is a regular contributor to Therapy Today, and edits its new Ethical Dilemmas column.
